At Ascension Archery, we offer exclusive coaching tailored for our competition team.

Try outs for the team are held at end of year. Members who make the team, are expected to commit to a minimum of one session per week, ensuring a consistent path to excellence. Each session lasts one hour and takes place at The Mountain Archery Range in San Leandro. Team members enjoy comprehensive access to individual sessions with Coach Jon, who will craft personalized lesson plans that align with their lifestyle, physical capabilities, and goals.

As a Level 4 archery instructor, Coach Jon specializes in developing the mental fortitude essential for exceptional archers. Sessions will focus on perfecting the NTS shot cycle and integrating game theory, equipping archers with the tools necessary to execute their shot under any circumstance.

Given the personalized coaching process that Ascension Archery provides, our expectations for members are significantly higher than those of other archery clubs in the area. We welcome serious athletes aged 12 and older, as our rigorous program demands dedication and commitment. Club members will be required to complete assignments set by Coach Jon and maintain detailed notes on all coaching sessions, homework, workshops, and tournaments.
